We are excited to announce a recent project that our team completed to track the logistics of material delivery via trucks to the work site. The application coordinates the accurate and timely delivery of load list materials requested by supervisors in the field from the yard to prevent work stoppages.
The Problem
Our customer had issues getting material orders for their crews working in the fields. These issues were causing costly delays and work stoppages. Material ordered by supervisors from the central yard was delivered incorrectly or delayed at times.
The Solution
The mobile solution that our team delivered allowed our customer start to finish tracking of material requests and deliveries. It featured the ability for supervisors to request materials and choose from available delivery dates. It allowed the central yard to approve and fill orders as well as document and take pictures of materials loaded on the trucks, materials that were substituted, and materials that were missing. The application then allowed the drivers to inspect the manifest and receive accurate delivery information and directions as well as document and take pictures of the delivery. Finally it allowed the administration to analyze trends in material being requested and shorted so that inventory levels could be adjusted.
